The Bill of rights are the first ten amendments to the constitution and was Written by James Madison in an answer to requests from several states for better constitutional protection for individual Rights; however most people thought he was an unlikely author because he argued that "the Constitution itself sufficiently restricted the federal government and that Americans inherently enjoyed natural rights even in the absence of laws ensuring them." It was made law in in December 15, 1791 and was written in 1789 but only 10 of the rights were ratified from the original document (The original document had 12)
